Sport: match and training episodes by description

A coach, a club analyst or the parent filming a youth team usually finds episodes the same way: watch the recording and jot down timecodes. For a ninety-minute match plus warm-up that takes longer than the game itself. In Rescanzo you describe the episode in words and get the matching moments as a list.

Queries that work

Describe what the whole frame shows: “corner kick, players gathering in the box”, “goalkeeper catching the ball mid-jump”, “team hugging after a goal”, “coach giving instructions on the touchline”, “warm-up with cones”. Rescanzo searches the meaning of the picture, so it doesn’t need shirt numbers or the score.

Small, fast details like the ball itself are harder to describe than the situation around them. If a query finds nothing, describe the episode through what’s happening nearby: the celebration, the bench reacting, players lining up for a set piece.

Video review for the team

For a review session, gather every episode of one kind into a collection, say every opposition set piece over several games, and send them to your editing app in one go: Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve get a ready timeline, VEGAS Pro gets an EDL, and for CapCut Rescanzo cuts separate clips.

Modes and price

Low at 1 token is enough for a rough look; Mid at 2 tokens is better for the review compilation. Both run on your computer, and the price doesn’t depend on recording length, so a season of matches in one folder costs the same to search as a single game. Pro adds speech search, for example for a commentator’s lines, and costs 2 tokens plus 1 for every started minute the cloud checks.

Questions and answers

How do I find one particular player?

Search by appearance, not by name: “goalkeeper in a yellow kit”, “player wearing the captain’s armband”. The more visible the detail, the easier it is to find.

Does footage from a single wide camera work?

Yes, search works with any video files in the folder. The bigger the event is in the frame, though, the easier it is to describe and find.

Can I search several matches at once?

Yes, if the recordings are in one folder added to Rescanzo. A query runs across every file at once.

Try it on your own footage

A new account gets 50 tokens: that's 25 searches in Mid mode.
