What CapCut does on its own

CapCut recognises speech for auto captions (you pick the language) and lets you edit by transcript: find a word in the text, delete what you don't need, and the footage is cut to match. But all of that works on a video that's already in the project. CapCut has no search by what's in the frame, like "sunset over the city" or "dog running at the camera", and it doesn't import other apps' projects either: it takes media files only (as of October 2026).

How found moments get into CapCut

Since CapCut doesn't open other apps' projects, Rescanzo doesn't build a timeline for it. Instead, each marked moment is cut into its own MP4 file (H.264), one file per moment, and saved to a Video Search folder inside Movies (Videos on Windows), in a subfolder named after the project, the collection, the date and the time.

You can watch the progress while it cuts, and cancel if you need to. When it's done, Rescanzo opens the folder, and all that's left is dragging the clips into CapCut or adding them with Import media.

What that means for your edit

CapCut gets real video files rather than references to the source, so the project doesn't depend on where the hours of originals are stored. The flip side is that there's no timeline with the moments laid out: you put the clips in order yourself, and each one takes up disk space.

Search and pricing

Rescanzo searches by what's in the frame and, in Pro mode, by speech; it understands queries and speech in Russian and English. Low costs 1 token, Mid costs 2, and Pro costs 2 tokens plus 1 for every started minute the cloud checks. A new account starts with 50 tokens.
