Travel footage: find that sunset

After a trip the drive holds hundreds of clips from a phone, a camera and a drone, and a week later you can't remember which day was the market and which was the waterfront. Rescanzo searches by what's in the frame, so you just write down what you saw.

Queries as memories

Write it the way you'd tell a friend about the trip: "sunset over the sea", "narrow street with steps", "city panorama from a hill", "street musician", "clouds from the plane window", "fruit market close-up". File names and subfolders don't matter: the search goes by what's in the shot.

Which mode you need

Low and Mid are enough for searching the picture. Low, at 1 token, quickly tells you whether you shot something at all; Mid, at 2 tokens, is more accurate and helps you pick the best of several similar sunsets. Both run only on your Mac.

Pro comes in if you talked to camera and want a specific line, or need the most accurate result: a cloud AI checks what was found, and the search costs 2 tokens plus 1 for every started minute it checks.

What one trip costs

Twenty Mid searches come to 40 tokens, less than the 50 a new account starts with. Found shots go to Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve as a ready timeline, and for CapCut Rescanzo cuts them into separate clips.

Questions and answers

Can I search footage from several devices at once?

Yes, as long as the files are in the folder you added to Rescanzo. Which device shot them makes no difference to search.

How do I pick the right clip out of ten similar drone passes?

Add a detail you remember: "pass over the bay, boats below", "coast road at sunset", "bonnet cam in the rain". The more precise the description, the fewer look-alike clips in the results.

Should I sort clips by day before searching?

No. Rescanzo searches by what's in the frame, so folder order and file names don't change the results.

Try it on your own footage

A new account gets 50 tokens: that's 25 searches in Mid mode.
