Video podcasts: find the line for the clip

An episode runs an hour or an hour and a half, and what promotes it is short clips with the best lines. Finding them by ear takes ages, especially with two or three cameras rolling. In Rescanzo you search for the line in words.

Clips built on a line

In Pro mode Rescanzo listens to the audio. Type what you remember from the conversation, for example "the most expensive mistake of my career", and you get the spot where it was said. Then set in and out points and send the fragment off to edit.

A Pro search costs 2 tokens plus 1 for every started minute of video the cloud checks, and the app shows the price of each search before you run it.

Shots for thumbnails and reactions

Thumbnails and vertical clips need lively shots: "guest laughing", "host leaning into the mic", "both looking at the camera". That's search by description, and it runs in Low for 1 token or Mid for 2, right on your computer.

What your guests said

Guests sometimes say things that mustn't leave the edit before the episode is out. In Low and Mid the footage stays on your computer; in Pro only short found fragments go to the cloud, and they aren't stored there.

Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro get the fragments as a ready timeline with source timecodes, and for CapCut Rescanzo cuts them into separate clips, ready to trim and caption.
