Wedding films: find the moment by describing it
A wedding shot on two or three cameras plus a drone often adds up to 8 to 12 hours of footage, and the couple wants both a highlight film and the full edit. Rescanzo searches those hours by what's in the frame and by what's said, then sends what it finds to your editing app.
What people search for
You write the query the way you'd describe a shot to your second shooter: "bride laughing by the window", "ring exchange close-up", "first dance, wide", "guests throwing petals", "father of the bride wiping tears". Rescanzo works out what's happening in the frame on its own, so there's nothing to tag or mark on the day.
A highlight film usually needs a few dozen strong shots, and nearly every one of them is quicker to find with its own query than by scrubbing through every camera again.
Toasts and vows: speech search
Toasts run long and only two or three lines make the film. In Pro mode Rescanzo listens to the audio: type the words you remember, say "to our parents" or "we met at university", and you get the moment they were said. Pro costs 2 tokens plus 1 for every started minute of video the cloud checks.
Which mode to use
Low is enough for a rough first pass: 1 token a search, and everything runs on your Mac. Mid costs 2 tokens, finds things more accurately and still sends nothing anywhere; it's the one to build the final shot list with. Save Pro for speech, and for when you need the most accurate answer.
The couple's footage stays with you
Wedding footage is personal, and couples do ask where it's kept. In Low and Mid your footage never leaves the computer. In Pro only short fragments of what was found go to the cloud to be checked, and they aren't stored there.
Marked moments go into a collection. Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve get them as a ready timeline with source timecodes, VEGAS Pro gets an EDL, and for CapCut Rescanzo cuts them into separate clips, so you carry on editing the way you always do.
Questions and answers
How many tokens does one wedding take?
It depends on how many moments you look for. Thirty searches in Mid cost 60 tokens, and a new account starts with 50.
Do I need to mark or log footage on the day?
No. Rescanzo searches by what's in the frame and on the audio, so markers and tidy file names aren't needed.
Try it on your own footage
A new account gets 50 tokens: that's 25 searches in Mid mode.
