Rescanzo vs Focus Video Search
Focus and Rescanzo work in a similar way: the index is built on your computer, and you can search by what's in the frame and by speech. The main difference is price: Focus is a one-off purchase, while Rescanzo charges tokens per search.

Where Focus is stronger
You buy Focus once and searching costs nothing after that, however many queries you run. For someone who digs through footage every day that's more predictable than tokens. Focus also exports transcripts as SRT and clip lists as CSV.
Where Rescanzo is handier
Rescanzo works with CapCut (cutting found moments into separate clips) and VEGAS Pro (saving an EDL), which aren't on Focus's export list. In Pro mode a cloud AI double-checks what was found when you need the most accurate answer, and for rough passes there's cheap Low at 1 token. Prices are in rubles, and the 50 free tokens let you judge search on your own footage before buying anything.
How to choose
If you search footage constantly and cut in Premiere Pro, Resolve or Final Cut, the one-off price of Focus will probably pay for itself. If you need search from project to project, or you edit in CapCut or VEGAS Pro, Rescanzo is likely the better fit. Run the same queries in both: Focus gives you 30 videos free, Rescanzo gives you 50 tokens.
Try it on your own footage
A new account gets 50 tokens: that's 25 searches in Mid mode.
