Corporate archive: shots from past shoots by description
Over a few years a company piles up terabytes of video: an office opening, factory shoots, parties, executive interviews. When marketing needs a shot of “people working on laptops” for a new video, it often gets reshot, because finding it in the archive is slower. Rescanzo lets you search the archive the way you’d search a stock library.
B-roll from the archive
Describe the shot in words: “production line close-up”, “logo on the building facade”, “team meeting at a whiteboard”, “warehouse, forklift between racks”, “handshake on stage”. Search covers every file in the folder you added, whatever they’re called and whichever subfolders they’re in.
What the executives said
Interviews and talks by senior people often get reused, for an anniversary or an annual report. In Pro mode Rescanzo searches speech in Russian and English: “launch of the new plant”, “our values”. Found fragments can go into one compilation.
Internal material
Corporate video often mustn’t leave the company. Low and Mid run entirely on your computer and send the video nowhere. In Pro only short found fragments go to the cloud to be checked, and they aren’t stored; if your security policy doesn’t allow that, use Low and Mid.
On to the edit
Your selection goes to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro as a ready timeline, to VEGAS Pro as an EDL, and for CapCut Rescanzo cuts separate clips. A Low search costs 1 token and Mid costs 2, however big the archive is.
Questions and answers
What does searching a big archive cost?
The price doesn’t depend on archive size: Low costs 1 token a search and Mid costs 2. Before the first search Rescanzo indexes the folder once on your computer, and how long that takes depends on the archive and the machine.
Can I build a compilation for a new video?
Yes: add found shots to one collection as you search, then send the whole collection to your editing app at the end.
Try it on your own footage
A new account gets 50 tokens: that's 25 searches in Mid mode.
